A Song Of Mine Poem by Brooke Harms

A Song Of Mine

i have been through a lot all at once
many times of my life
but now it seems to be more difficult like seeing life through blind brown eyes
i needed just one day to let my mind run free
and that one day i saw the places, that you and me had seen

yes i drove down that city road, where houses are so close
and i found my way to the town where me and u spent the most
i sat where me and you had kiss that night in the pouring rain
it feels like years have passed with out a single grin
but i'll remember all these places....when i feel like giving in

i felt like writing letters i can still remeber your address
and your front door where we stalled before that one first kiss
those pictures i had lost are better off somehow
they wuld just me another memory to forget until moments like now

yes i drove down that city road, where houses are so close
and i found my way to the town where me and u spent the most
i sat where me and you had kiss that night in the pouring rain
it feels like years have passed with out a single grin
but i'll remember all these places....when i feel like giving in

the one thing i still remember most is that one late night call
you begged me not to go so much and that hurt most of all
that was the night when goodbye seemed to be far away
adn that just what we thought until you spoke it for the last time on that final day.....

yes i drove down that city road, where houses are so close
and i found my way to the town where me and u spent the most
i sat where me and you had kiss that night in the pouring rain
it feels like years have passed with out a single grin
but i'll remember all these places....when i feel like giving in

you said we'd have that kiss soakin in the rain
you said you'd hold me close, yet u ended it in vain
then you promised a forever of our own, but you left me to be alone

and your love washes away with the rain (the rain)
falls down among me and all i know is that you caused my pain
i hope you feel good now cause the rain has come and gone
and it took your love and i am moving on

you took that walk with me down the county bridge
you said we'd kiss but your nerves made you cave in
you held my hand and the world seemed all right
but you ended it that night
