In the year two-thousand
On a sunny August day,
We honoured our dear Queen Mother
For her happiness we prayed.
Her life had spanned a century then
Years of silver and of gold.
Her love and dedication touched
The hearts of young and old.
Our Queen Mother was so beautiful
With a sweet smile, warm and true.
The world will remember her evermore
In a 'Special Shade of Blue'.
I wrote this poem in
Two-thousand and one
But after admiring
Our Queen Mother's picture,
Again my heart she has won.
