A Storied Love Tale Poem by Mark Hyer

A Storied Love Tale

Some see the tale of Juliet

And her Romeo

And see a tale of pain and set

And of sorrow and woe

But I see a story

Of Truth and Honesty

Their love was full of glory

And their hearts were for of glee

But due to means out of their control

They could not share the fairy tale

And because of how the dice roll

Their love was seemed to fail

I have felt this way before

And feel this way I do still

Love is always at my hearts door

But i fight it against my will

To die because your love is gone

Is the most loving act you give

To survive while love is gone

Is surely no way to live

I would give my soul and life

For the woman that i love

I wish to make her my woman and wife

With everything power above

But due to problems that have shown

I'll never fulfill that dream

So I feel my heart cant grow

And that the love cant gleam

For all the would be lovers

Who wonder 'what if i could'

I tell you from the voice of your brother

Don't think of could. just only that you should

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem because I realized that true love means that you are willing to give everything and anything for the person that you love and that the only love story to me that shows this is the story of Romeo and Juliet
