A Sudden Sadness

</>A sudden sadness
spills over me
Like liquid lead
The lump in my throat
forms from somewhere unknown
I don’t understand the sinister
suspicions that surface
in a usually sane mind
And I struggle to strangle off
Insecurities that I’m shocked
to learn exist
