A Sudden Sadness Poem by Israh Sadan

A Sudden Sadness

Rating: 4.0

</>A sudden sadness
spills over me
Like liquid lead
The lump in my throat
forms from somewhere unknown
I don’t understand the sinister
suspicions that surface
in a usually sane mind
And I struggle to strangle off
Insecurities that I’m shocked
to learn exist

I like the last stanza, that shock to find something new and unwanted about yourself. Keep on writing, you do so wonderfully :)
