A Swallow Poem by Noah Simon

A Swallow

As a swallow bird, I need to fly...
Forget my sorrow, sadness,
And never cry...
***
Watching over Africa's fields,
from up between the clouds,
and feeling the warm breeze.
***
In Europe my eyes dwell,
for all flowers there,
with colors I cannot tell!
***
Yet, one thing makes me whine:
Human, my biggest fear
and the arch enemy of mine.
***
They kill us swallows day and night
O' let not that surprise you,
for they kill one self without a right!
***
Spreading our blood is not a crime;
Man would do anything
to have the reddest rose in winter time.
