A Symphony Poem by Kewayne Wadley

A Symphony

Rating: 3.8

She spoke with her eyes
oh those eyes that could part the skies with just one glance
songs seldomly heard as they spoke softly, fierecly
mellow as the clouds that sailed across the oceans horizon
rose petals drenched in infactuation as I yearn to hear more
dare you fulfill that desire
passions go uncoveted as my every thought is of you
dare you notice the hunger that longs to have you near
gestures made in the pastures meant for you and I
as my eyes closed in the dreams you were mine
perhaps another lifetime
perhaps in the past life realities became the fulfillment of my dreams
cliche' as the passer-by that walks past his favorite vineyard day by day
the smell, the sights, excites the senses
ironic
as your essence drives me insane
so to the point temptation damns me
the flowers sway to the sound of your song as their softly lulled to sleep
lulled by the beauty of their song
lulled by the beauty of your stare
they compliment you in every way as to them your beauty goes unrivaled
as to me
my eyes have never seen anything more perfect, more radiant
songs seldomly heard as they spoke softly, fiercely
the trembles that've traveled up my spine like earthquakes
the chillbumps that've felt like mountains whenever your near
the Mondays that've crossed into Tuesday
gentle laughs that felt the desire to become more
tender breaths of passion unheard as every moment thats passed seemed
a symphony
