A Tale Of A Dog's Tail - Allegory Poem by M. Asim Nehal

A Tale Of A Dog's Tail - Allegory

Rating: 5.0

He saw a puppy, cute little naughty,
As he moved forward,
It began to follow hastily,
He increased his speed,
and puppy began to bump,
Not knowing what to do,
he picked it up and took it home
The first thing which came to his mind,
Was to give a bath to canine,
Well, while applying a baby soap,
he saw the tail little curved,
after bathing he tied a knot, for hours he kept,
when opened it - again it got curved.
Now he put it in a pipe considering it'll rectify up in entire night,
He was so ignorant that he believed -
the unreal to be real, ephemeral to be eternal

As the sun rose, his hopes were destroyed once more.
He was not well read, therefore:
he was constantly concerned about tail's curvature,
Whatever you do, no matter how long it takes,
it will never straighten out.

Even in everyday life, we see people with warped attitudes
No wind of change will change their attitude.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This applies to all politicians and thugs who come back to you pleading their innocence and then show their true colours, you try everything you can but they will never mend their ways or change their attitude, they are so shameless that they can go to any extent that is beyond your imagination. They will remain as they are, like a dog's tail, and like a scorpion, they'll continue biting without any apparent reason. They are masters of disguise, returning with new pledges as electoral stunts.

Using dog's tail you made this tale awesome. Your note is 'tadka' - flavour enhancer to your poem.

I agree with Deepak, it is the moral duty of every poet to bring such things to people's notice, we find such characters in every field and everywhere, they are not ready to change, a crying baby always cry, a jealous baby will remain as it is.

I agree, They will remain as they are, like a dog's tail, and like a scorpion, they'll continue biting without any apparent reason.

In Hindi there is a Muhavra 'कुत्ते की दुम या पूंछ सीधी नही होती है ' like "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." like "A leopard can't change its spot."
