A Tangle Of My Hair Poem by Midnight Clarity

A Tangle Of My Hair

Rating: 5.0

I saw you a moment ago
lost between my lashes
at the corner of my eye
I saw you, I knew you,
reflected in my mind
the memory of kisses
pulled at my lips,
my heart beat faster,
pulse at wrist, at throat
jumping, koi rising
to the surface
for the evening feed,
I saw you a moment ago
caught in the tangle of my hair
blown across my eyes,
a jealous wind
keeping you soft focus,
I saw you, I knew you,
dancing to the rhythms
of our hearts,
tango interrupted
when I lost sight of you
between the hours
that I wasted in the office
building futures that are
emptied now, a mockery
without you yet I turn
because I saw you,
I saw you a moment ago
just out of reach,
my hand, my fingers
reaching for the touch
I gave away.

Ah the hours wasted in the office building empty futures - the sad state of our lives! Beautifully executed. Thanks for sharing.
