A Thousand Tears Poem by Adam Smitherman

A Thousand Tears

So cold.
So alone.
This place is not my home.
I live in fear.
I hurt so badly.
I live in a world where a lonely man sheds a thousand tears.

I came here with hope.
And I leave here pain.
I came here for love.
And came back with a blood stain
I live in world where I'll die all alone.
Surrounded by people who I don't even know.
And if it is Gods will.
For me to live this way.
Then I'll take all these sleeping pills.
Until I drift away.

I prayed on and on.
I tried to live strong.
I waited for you to come along.
But instead I wrote all these songs.
