A TIME

A TIME

A time of tribulation great,
Is coming to this world;
A time of war and horror,
To man will be unfurled.

A time given to make peace,
As men, man to man;
A time that mere men forfeited,
Opting war’s expedient plan.

A time draws near in Israel,
Of war with Iran;
A time now heralds Lucifer,
His holy war to fan.

A time we, not too long ago,
Fought wars to end all wars;
A time of final war now looms;
Damnation, sinful cause.

A time, times and half a time,
Daniel saw in a vision,
A Time, three years and a half,
And Jerusalem’s division.

A time is here, with us now
Too late to turn around,
A time that Prophets talked about,
Forsaking hallowed ground.

A time, when fallen men look back
Upon their sinful past;
A time when mankind will recall,
Babylonians…nuclear blast.

    Your poem echoes the thoughts of most people, how do we stop it? Man, who has done so many good things will ultimately destroy everything too, it is so scary,
    Well penned,

    Frightening and so true Alf, although many prefer to bury their heads in the sand. Like the Big C, great affliction is spreading and the sands of time is running out - our poor children to have lived only in this horror of hate and destruction (Report) Reply

    yes it seems the big blast is on the horizon as Iran continues the provocation and the valley of Armaegeddon is soon to be filled with the rivers of blood....the coordinates already keyed in the computers only waiting for Amhadjinejad's statement that gives the go ahead and Tehran will no longer exist (Report) Reply

    A very thought provoking poem elaborating the dimension
    that enables two identical events occurring at the same
    point in space to be distinguished, measured by the interval
    between the events. If mankind would continue to do the
    illegalities, it will surely dissipate from the face of the planet.
    Everyone should conceive the true essence of the poem
    considering the message conveyed in it........10/10 (Report) Reply

I hold with those who favor fire.
