RIC S. BASTASA

a translation of an old poem from bisaya to english

think of me as
the man who went outside
the house
bathing in the rain

it is not because i am
feeling uncomfortable
with the heat of my own
clothes

out there
as the rain falls
you cannot see the flood
of my tears.
