A True Broken Heart
She watched
And she cried
As she sat there
And watched true horror
Unfold upon her eyes
And they all watched
As she broke
She left
With nothing
Except for A broken heart
Nothing left
All alone
She sat in the dark
Blown to pieces
All scattered in the wind
She would never truly love again
Because of him
Nice poem. The heplessness of a forlorn beloved is beautifully captured in these melancholy lines. Reminiscent of the poem Poor Girl by the great Maya Angelou. Thanks for sharing
