A Truth To Me, Alone Poem by poet prince

A Truth To Me, Alone

Only when i see the smile
is when i hear a song
only then, in my mind awhile
no longer lifelong
within my reach, a lonely face,
i held, and loved, without end,
without speech, in a dreamy place
propelled into space, a cosmic blend.
an older poet now
hearkens back to the days
when a dream could maybe come true.
but the dream from its' birth
was lost in a maze
and never on earth, will find its' way through.
