A Useless Shower Poem by David Wood

A Useless Shower

Our government has left us all but broke
And now it all makes us want to choke
That times are hard we can easily see
As a cold winter looms for you and me.

Our energy bills have gone through the roof
And the food bill too, you don't need proof.
Our funds are low and our debts are high
As you pay that bill you just have to sigh.

The darn mortgage is going up quite a bit
Like some never ending money pit
We ask oh when will it all ever end
As it's driving everyone round the blooming bend

After twelve long years of Tory rule
We've all been taken for an absolute fool
With Fourteen years of austerity
When all people relied on charity

The idiots in charge don't have a clue
For their brain cells are low and far too few
Their financial incontinence is all on show
As public money they are willing to throw

We have to live with their incompetent mess
That's left everybody in such sad distress
We now have to show we have true grit
And when things get hard we must never quit.

How do they ever get in power
They are all just a useless shower.
