A Utopian Valley Poem by C. Muralidara Kannan

A Utopian Valley

I have never seen a valley
Nor have I ever been
This one, a recent visit
A dream wonder, rare real
Resonant reminiscence.

Surrounded in serene atmos
With sky-scrapers of mystic mountains
Caped with capricious canopy
Camouflaged hues adorning
The cardial Lune in the evening
And the enigmatic energy of
The Sun, the premier of the dawn

The lord and the lady shower
Their ceaseless care down to the Landscape below, the valley gets
Rejuvenated, a replica of micro Utopia.

A river flows across. What a silent serenade of sparkling splendour!
Birds and bees join in tune conjuring
A concert of medieval mystery.

Behold, here is an arcade of
Arberal excuberance. An array of trees
Like an ornate assemblage
At the Garden of eden laden with fruits
Few with fruits of bats swinging.

And a myriad with pods of honey-dew
Mellowed meats falling down
And the merciful meadows magnanimously capture them
A green carpet of fruitful delight
A twilight never has been in sight.

You, the valley of vibrant vicinity
Like the heavenly abode,
I carry thy locale in my memory
And look around in haze to start
Another blissful day of victory.
