A Violent Dream Poem by james chaplin

A Violent Dream

A Violent Dream
My thoughts are broken
My soul not yet taken
A haunting memory
Left me trembling
A psychotic past
Uneasy dreams
A war torn beast
Ready to wake
My next victim quaking
Total change in ego
I AM AWAKE!

A violent roar
A curdling scream
Flesh and bones
Paint the floor
Blood on the walls
Blood on the ceiling
My hunger still not complete

A new victim on the run
A wild chase relieving pain
An empty factory lay ahead
Broken doors and floor boards creak
An empty soul
A silent shriek
Blood on my hands
I’m changing back
A violent shudder
To end my nightmare
