A Whisky's Touch Poem by Shane Bryan

A Whisky's Touch

They said the pain would make me stronger,
But it didn't help me none.
The pain gave me only one thing,
It made me oh so numb.

But with the help of my dear friend jack,
I can finally feel again.
So pour us some Whisky Baby,
And let's strip to our bare skin.

They told me I'd be myself one day,
They told me I'd be okay.
I told them the sky had never been so gray,
And they'd never felt this way.

But with the help my dear friend jack,
I'm starting to feel again.
So would pour us some of that Whisky,
And let's strip down to our bare skin.

She told me her heart had been torn in two.
She told me, she understood me,
I told I understand her too,
I said let's just let the past free.

I explained about my dear friend jack,
And how well he helped me.
I poured us two tall glasses,
Then we stripped down completely.

We would speak for hours,
I felt so god damn free.
I didn't know that I had loved her,
I hadn't thought about me.

I forgot about my dear friend jack,
And I could feel thoroughly,
She had softened my heart,
And We stripped down Whisky free.
