Ragy Sandid
A whispered prayer
I prayed for you
But I didn’t pray for you
I prayed you’d come
And you never did too
I search for a sound
That has in it your voice
I turn around
Not you. Like I had a choice.
I’m sorry and you’re not
I’m sorry that you’re not
You go ahead, so what
You’re all I’ve got
Years apart, you’re my heart
Would I play a part?
I dared to dart
To find you in the dark
The faces, the faces look the same
The ones I see all have your name
You hide in millions that take your blame
I pray to die and I
Would know the reason why
When I sigh
I see you passing by
You, my last worldly aim.
