A Woman's Love Game Poem by Lee Joseph Menke

A Woman's Love Game

My first true love how it wasn't true
my heart was cast in a witches brew

That witch, that beautiful winch

she give, she take
my devil
my snake

Slithered and withered right before my eyes
way before i was memorized

Fangs in my side
a poisonous lie

in her trap

A death cap

heart-black
heart-wrought

i sought true love in a deep dark space

only to be blinded by the light she replaced
