A World Of Lies Poem by Hebert Logerie

A World Of Lies

Rating: 5.0

A world of lies
A swirl of flies

Why are we killing each other?
Why are we bombing each other?
When will that madness end? When will we live in Peace?
Human beings are behaving worse than wild beasts.
Many hands are hidden behind this bloody mess.
Too many innocent bystanders are dying en masse.
This is more than a tragedy.
This is more than a travesty.
Why are we stabbing each other?
Why are we lying to each other?
The truth is in the videotapes.
You can change the hours or the dates,
You can explain all you want, paint and repaint
The streets, however, the half-truths and the lies are evident.
The front and back yards have replaced the cemeteries,
Which are filled-up with murdered innocent babies.
The smart planes are dropping the deadly and toxic bombs,
The streets are red with blood, and the make-shift tombs
Are ubiquitously scattered, where, in horror,
Our children are murdered in broad daylight.
Nevertheless, the brave people refused to surrender,
They are using their nails, knives, and scissors to fight
The ultra-sophisticated tanks, planes and other weapons.
Too many innocent people are dying: elders, sons,
Daughters, fathers. and mothers; all God's children,
Who will naturally and surely find peace in Heaven.

A world of lies
A swirl of flies

Our world is full of deceits and lies.
Our world is infested with deadly flies.
It is sad to see how the officials are lying,
While countless innocent children are dying.
What kind of world is this?
What type of leadership is this?
Our brothers are being choked and hung,
And our sisters are being poked in the eyes, stung,
Kicked, beaten and murdered by the authorities.
We are living in a world of sadness and atrocities.
Our elders are slapped, beaten and castrated for no reasons.
Our toddlers, youngsters, and students are starving in countless prisons.
When will that madness end? When will we live in Peace?
We are praying the God of fairness, the God of Justice.
We want Peace on Earth. We need Love and Compassion to go on.
We want the bombings and the killings to stop; so we can go on.
