About Him Poem by Cherokee Lady

When your marine is away you pray for his safe return.
When he is with you, you thank god that he is safe.
The days with him here are the best.
And the days he isn’t with you are a test.
But pass the test and do your best.
Love your Marine, and try to keep him safe when you can.
Know that he loves you, and is fighting to keep you safe.
Stay strong, and loyal.
Wait for him and give him your love.
Because when the battle is over he will need you.
He will need somebody to talk to.
And to share his stories and feelings with.
