He says he loves you,
And treats you like a queen.
He asks you to marry him,
And you say yes.

You set the date,
And couldn’t be happier.
He starts to change,
But not for the better.

He gets angry,
And you don’t know why.
He says it’s over,
But doesn’t give an explanation.

The days go by,
With no word.
The nights go by,
Without any sleep.

Finally you realize,
He’s not coming back.
You move on,
The best you can.

Then one day when you’re with friends,
You get a text that says he wants to talk.
You weigh your options,
But decide to hear what he has to say.

He says he’s sorry and he still loves you,
He asks you to take him back.
You want to believe he has changed,
Even though you’re friends say he hasn’t.

You decide to follow you’re heart,
And take him back.
Now you pray you made the right choice,
And that his love for you is real.
