Above Shifting Sand (2)

ABOVE SHIFTING SAND (2)
But God will spare the sinful soul
Who'll seek His face on high
He'll make the sick and weary whole
When to ourselves we die

Through faith, God gives eternal life
Such joy no eye has seen
Where parent, child, husband or wife
Can reign as Jesus' queen

Our father's built church towers tall
Great doors, windows galore
But now as then, God's servants fall
And join the devil's whore

We must repent or rot in jail
We must seek help above
As walking dead, we're bound to fail
And die without God's love

Some fail to grasp Salvation's news
Some fail as Jesus' bride
They leave behind long empty pews
To fill the graves outside

God knows backsliding's commonplace
He knows we've much to learn
He knows who fail to seek His face
Are bound in hell to burn

So God's restoring fallen ruins
Upon the solid ground
Above the sands and grassy dunes
His grace can still be found

The Lord keeps watch with open eye
His ears are everywhere
He hates to see His children die
And so He waits our prayer…
