Action Man Poem by Bernadette Hall

Action Man

A softer sun
& smaller lusts

unzip
like leaves

in ‘grievy fall'
& so much to be

done I mean
of grieving

Menelaus
felt the pinch

& slipped his sable
ships from Tenedos

thumbed up
instead of tears

spring's slaughter
