Acts Of Faith Poem by Kevin Patrick

Acts Of Faith

Rating: 5.0

In a Boston orphanage, run by the catholic church
Little boys get taught the ways of Sodom and Gomorrah
They break their daily bread on the sorcerers they serve
Condemned to eat the bishop's meat from his tantric torah
It's all protected by church policy
Don't you just love holy hypocrisy

Here's a ramshackle tent where mad evangelists preaches
To send the gays, to burn in hell, all over Louisiana
He's shacking up with parish girls with 13 year old peaches
Their parents call it miracles, but they still believe in Santa
Its with full congregational approval
Its so nice the bible belts still feudal

And in sunny California, the soccer mothers slaughter
Listening to playboy blonds about the evils of vaccines
They skim and skip their research becoming amateur doctors
and let their kids get Rubella but won't let them drink caffeine
Its all done with strict parental guidance
How I love this democratic science
