Affair Of The Mind Poem by kellymarie middleton

Affair Of The Mind

I wish that you could find
that place that lies within my mind
devoid of all your nasty fears
forbidden spot of woeful tears
pleasant feelings swirl all about
as confidence and fear replaces doubt.

Peace and happiness with a gentle touch
I love you so very much
but you can't see me over here
so far away but still so near
so I will live in the cool of the shade
of a love for you that was never made.

Wishing, watching wanting more
praying soon your at my door
but of what I know of what will be
is that you will look right though me
and I will live a life in vain
to not love you but to love the pain
wanting always what I can't hold
all my days as I grow old
