Africa Poem by Lola Sanchez

This is Africa
sunsets of gold
summers everlasting
and days never ending

But could it be? my continent crumbles
falls away at the hands of the greedy
melts at the hands of mindless dictators

wake up comrades
pick up the freedom posters
Thee are people being tortured!

This is Africa
Protect it now comrade
take hands for freedom
freedom of press
democratic freedom
basic needs to be met!
Regimes and governments beware!

This is Africa
She will fight for freedom once again.
