After The Argument Poem by Edwina Reizer

After The Argument

After the argument love was sweeter
making up for words unkind.
Tender love making that lingered
until we both could find
no reason to be unforgiving
while the reason for our living
was to love and know the power
of ecstasy in the night time hour.

But oh my dear we need not spat
to bring about the tender touch.
For we know each other's body
and have learned so much.
The way to tease, the way to please
and the way to satisfy.
So if we argue there's always this.
We will love until we die.
