After You Left Us Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

After You Left Us

after you left us, mother,
I unveiled the treasure
That I and you only knew about

It was a work of immense intellect.

You dictated, your brain, I transcribed.

And I had the honor to be scribe
of such greatness.

Now mother your tribute and your due
Is only left for me,
my duty irremovable.
