Against all odds
You accepted me
Just for what I am
Knowing my life’s been a catastrophe

Against all odds
You retained balance
Diluted my dense inconsistencies
Made calmness from turbulence

Against all odds
You walked with me
Listened to me patiently
Smiling at my hyperbole

Against all odds
You promised that you ‘will’ there be
Whenever we shook our hands to depart
Carrying a little me in you and a little you in me
