Aging Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Aging

1
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
A statement
That I make
Not causal
But
Graceful one
As pleasant
As the scene
Of setting sun
Just appealing
And charming one.

2.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Really
If you so wish
To feel like
Just count down
All the gifts
You do have
That the money
Can't buy for you
Like a round table
Where no one can sit
At the head of it
Still you find
All do sit around.

3.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Just by-
Maintaining
Good health
Keeping
Fit and fine
Moments of
Real inherent
Richness
Of human life
And the nature
About living
In the moment
That the money
Can't buy for you.

4.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Since money
Can't buy time
Time for you
Hence no time
To brood over
Dwelling
On depressing
Noxious truth.
Everyone's so bold
And stunning
Keen enough
To live and explore
Blood is always red
Across the length
And breadth of globe.

5.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Laughter
And happiness
All ingredients
Cost nil-
For making the life
Long and healthy
Crucial trading off
Between
Stress and mirth
Be settled first
Engaging like
In gardening
Reading or writing
Listening to music
Watching movies
Doing anything
Or nothing even
With a loved choice
Of keeping smiles.

6.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Safe to feel
The feelings
Escaping
Emotional hurts
Allowing
Violent thoughts
To flow free
In positive orders.

7.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Contrary to it
Repression
Of emotions
Like putting a lid
On the boiling kettle
Lying on the fire
Of feelings
Feelings bottled up
Facing
Unruly pressure
Pressure of anxiety
And stress
Steaming off
Its shoot ups
Of helpless tears.

8.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Complimenting
Acceptance to it
Heals
A false sense
Of moral values
If only you like
And enjoy
Everything-
Food and money
Peace and stress.

9.
Aging is just
A number
If you let it be
It's a fun
Creating elation
And exultation
Throwing away
The doubt
The judgment
And the criticism.
A new level
Of self respect
If only you could
Aging is a fun.
