Ain'T No Mountain

Ain’t no mountain high enough,
ain’t no valley deep
enough to tell you all the stuff
of mine that you should keep
close, baby, to your heart when I’m
not next to you. Just call
my name, I’ll be there in no time,
and climb the highest wall,
the one that you’ve erected so
that you can keep me far
away from you. I feel so low
without you when you are
not in my presence, baby. Ain’t
no mountain nor no stream
that ever will be a restraint
to stop me, nor is there an ocean
that I won’t cross to find you;
if you do not support my motion,
please let me here remind you
that I am serious. I may seem
to you to be a little mad,
attempting, babe, to reach you,
but I think that I can make you glad
to learn the things I’ll teach you
once I have crossed the mountains and
have climbed the wall I mention,
for I am sure you’ll understand
once you pay me attention.
I’m sure that, baby, you will listen,
once you have seen my smile,
and be prepared for all the kissin’
that we will do to while
the time away, remembering how
I’ve climbed the highest mountain
to reach the gal I want to wow,
while every minute countin’.

Inspired by a song by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”.

Listen, baby
Ain't no mountain high
Ain't no valley low
Ain't no river wide enough, baby

If you need me, call me
No matter where you are
No matter how far
Just call my name
I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry

'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you

Remember the day
I set you free
I told you
You could always count on me
From that day on I made a vow
I'll be there when you want me
Some way, some how

'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you

No wind, no rain

My love is alive
Way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand
I'll be there on the double
As fast as I can

Don't you know that
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you

Don't you know that
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
