Al Sahja (Or The Neglected One) Poem by Francesco Malaspina

Al Sahja (Or The Neglected One)

Alcor so far away, above
Beyond the daylit sky, hidden
And lost through light obscuring

Alcor forsaken half-dimm'd star
Unseen, my dream bright present blinding
Will I remember you

When on some rare spring perfumed nights
Amidst the countless other memories of dreams afire
You'll pierce the vast sidereal darkness
And shine?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Alcor aka Al Sahja aka 80 Ursae Majoris is a star belonging to the big dipper constellation and it's often dwarfed by its more luminous neighbor, Mizar.
