'Alabaster' Poem by Devin Tudor

'Alabaster'

Rating: 5.0

So worthy you are you were born by the sign of a star
A star that shined so bright it could be seen afar
With three men
You caught their gaze
They didn’t hesitate to start their journey to bring you praise
Long before you ever came you were writing a book
Your birth was just the turning of a page
An unexpected start, the Son of God loving out of a childlike heart
As she came, and sat at your feet
Her heart broke
She began to weep
Her tears prepared your feet for your journey of physical defeat
An offering with much cost
You gave all
When all was said to be lost
Can you smell the aroma?
Can you hear our pleas?
I am asking you to draw near to me
Giving you my treasure is giving you my heart
Hoping you open it and it’s not in part
In whole and not just a piece
I want to give you what truly matters to me
The things that go deep down in my soul
I don’t want my plans
But yours to unfold
To sit in your counsel, and hear you speak
I want to be like her
At your feet…

You are so worthy Jesus

To sit in your counsel, and hear you speak I want to be like her At your feet… Long before you ever came you were writing a book Your birth was just the turning of a page An unexpected start, the Son of God loving out of a childlike heart As she came, and sat at your feet Her heart broke She began to weep Her tears prepared your feet for your journey of physical defeat Okay, So I know this is a lot of the poem, but how to narrow it down to a fave part.... Hmm.. Having some difficulty here! lol! Beautiful. I love this one! Great job!
