Alcohol Poem by Noah Wright

Alcohol

Rating: 4.0

My dearest friend
My harshest enemy
My truest thoughts
My impurest morals
My darkest Moments
My passionate loves
My spangled judgement
My heroic reactions
My poor ripped apart heart
momentarily fixed by your sweet wonderland
the yearning for a better tomorrow
ruined by your deathly onslaught
the start of a new love
quickly banished by the sight of smeared makeup
why do you betray me like this?
you give me so much joy
yet deconstruct every positive brick I build

To my dearest friend,
I hate you.

Lyn summed this piece up perfectly. Alcohol is a drug and lime any other highly addictive. It's a vicious cycle and once started almost impossible to end without the help of others. You wrote a very moving, powerful poem on the drug that has and continues to destroy so many lives.

Hello Noah, A very moving, honest write stating the highs and lows of alcohol. This affect so many. Sadly in this day everything is socialising with alcohol which can be the beginning to a problem for many and the cost of it is so cheap. Thank you so much for sharing. The Sun will come out tomorrow. x
