Alien Dreams Poem by dave lessard

Alien Dreams

In a dream, we meet, again -
who you are, I do not know;
I awake, you disappear -
must you flee and always go?

Can't you stay with me awhile?
tell me who you really are?
I promise to keep you secret,
are you from a distant star?

An alien to haunt my dreams -
a stranger from cold space;
that visits me, asleep,
and never leaves a trace.

I'm in the twilight zone -
or something from Star-Trek;
and all I know for sure is,
you've made my life a wreck.

If you could come while I'm awake -
my dreams of you might cease;
giving me some pleasant sleep,
and well rewarded peace.
