alive

i slit my wrists and try to die
blood seeps out and trickles down
kind of thing to make a grown man cry
another death in this small town
i feel the pain of every lie
i hold my breathe
my mouth gets dry
i start to cry
i'm still alive
let it go
let me die
let me show
the pain inside
my heart has broken
my eyes have cried
from the words being spoken
from all your lies
wrist are split

but i'm still alive

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
