All Alone Poem by sean struhar

All Alone

a deep dark hole lays within my heart
slowly and painfully shredding me apart
I try and I try to subside the pain
but whatever I do, there is no gain
I've been shot, stabbed and broken a bone
but nothing is compared to being alone
every night I catch myself crying
and every night I feel myself dyeing
too many wounds, too many to mend
waiting for my tainted soul to transcend
can't do it myself, forced an agonizing wait
sorrow every last second
that is my fate
