Allegiance



An ambitious kite
young to the air
full of aerial energy
thought to race the eagle to win
the sky was there for the taking
little did it know that the grooving sky
was in allegiance with the eagle
the eagle was at home
the kite was dreaming
the sky consumed the kite
the eagle cruised with a smile
