Alone Poem by Theresa Short

Alone

alone i sit under this tree,
For house I wait for you to come rescue me,
Hour after hour still no return,
Alone I wait to learn,
The unhappiness I lived before this place,
The cuts and bruises all over my body and face,
but the one that hurt the worst was the stab to my heart,
ripping me apart, limb by limb I slowly die,
as you watched me silently cry.
