Alone. Poem by Brian Ben

Alone.

Rating: 5.0

I have been quiet for long
At war with love, you should know
I'm at the point of breaking
And what's even worse?
It's impossible to evade it

How do I stop loving you this much?
How do I forget you?
And say you aren't the best I ever had once upon a time?

You let Bullet holes
That seems never to heal
Ruin me and my heart when I saw you there with him

I don't know, why, why you did this to me
I could hardly even believe it
I was lost for a while, and then reality found me

That you had broken my heart,
That you had demeaned my loyalty
Now I believe it's over and you should leave
You should remember to forget me and mine
Because I don't want to feel the way that I do

Am strong to face this world alone
It was good to meet you and your friends
But it's time they leave also
Everything has got its place in time
Even the day must give way to the night.
