It seems we've been together for a long while now
though I've never known you to ask me how
I take for granted all that we have
you get close to me, I push you back
I complain my way into blaming you
for every pain everything we've suffered through
I want to be the only one loving you
nothing will ever be the same
to keep loving you, I've always been so fearful
never thought you would be so merciful
fearing the end of each day
I've no excuses for these choices I've made
I cannot give you a reason why
I haven't done anything, I don't even try
can't stay away, can't let us die
nothing means anything without you now
you reach out to me, I beat you down
and everything seems to fade away
I'm watching us decay
alone
I've killed this love
