lying in bed awake

i think of you and all that we had

imagining all the love that we concerted

i think of what the future could have been

imagining how everything became so corroded

i think of all the lies and promises broken

imagining the tears you caused without regret

i think of how life will not improve

imagining if true love shall come before death

i think of the repulsive and not of the rewarding

imagining what i would do if you were not the one

i think of a never ending void of darkness

imagining a way out until i am drained

lying in my bed falling deeply to sleep
