Always In My Heart Poem by Prakash Raj

I could clearly hear the sound of a million footsteps
over the delicate leaves in my garden,
I rushed to save few roses and lilies, scared,
but soon I was glad, as it is nothing
but a silly rain pouring.

As I walk towards the dancing flowers in the rain,
I just slipped and fell,
into the depths of an aimless love, wondering
why and how and when,
did I open my eyes to see a goddess among us,
fixing our broken glass hearts.

I believe you are the flame of a candle,
spreading light into the darkness I fear.
but you are also all the colors of the world,
who paints smiles on our cheeks.

You might be more beautiful than
the cherry blossoms of the far east,
and more humble and graceful,
than all us mortals combined.

Nothing lasts forever they say,
but the infinite love in your heart would always will,
I always would stay close to feel your warmth,
promising never to bid no adieu.
