Faces known and unknown all around
Mighty fireworks adoring the soft sky
Air filled with oboe's mellifluous sound
The felicity in every corner which nothing could buy

Amid all these glittered an exotic bride
All set today to tie the nuptial knot
My family's smile and dad's biggest pride
The sight of every bit leaving me so overwrought

The day for which i waited so long
Finally came to me with such an ambivalence
A fear that things wont be same anymore
Compelled me to sustain the worthy silence

The fear of no one with me to share
The fear of missing the meaningless catfight
When i wake up from nightmares
Who will be there to hold me tight?

The one with whom i grew up from a kid
The one who stood beside me anyway
The one who nurtured me with her warmth
It was just a brief sojourn of her, they say..

But this wont let wash away the worthy kohl
Because she promised to be with me in every tear and mirth..
for the child still dwells deep within a sister's soul
Whose hands she has always held since its birth

Towards the end all i want to say
Far away from u on this very special day
Wish u heartily a lifetime connubial bliss
With the person who will stand always with u in every way! !
