Always Reminded Poem by JL Byoll

It's been quite awhile
since we've seen each other;
since I've seen you smile,
and heard your laughter.

So much can change as we grow older.
But it seemed time left you trapped
ever so still as a photograph.
In my eyes, still amazing.

Eventhough, so little
the time we've spent together.
A mere memory is enough
for me to remember, every second
for every minute of every hour,
the times we had enjoyed together.

'How can I feel the same way? '
I ask myself that stupid question
every sleeping night and waking day.

Always hoping and wishing
for my feelings to forever stay,
so please don't walk away.

Sometimes thinking and wondering
that my feelings may someday fade away,
if I dont see you another day.
