Amazed Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Amazed

Amazed

The lamppost on roadside
-stands tall and sheds light
- four-five times of my height.

I look up; is proud
-and reaches for skies.

Recognise the colour
-neither is amber nor
-can accept it as white…

Pale?
Maybe!

Is attacked by army
-of robots with sabres
-wild in field, they rattle
-lawlessness rules the air
-rushing nomads, savages.

They dance and celebrate
-Rock, Cha-Cha, also Rave.

Funny are snowflakes!
Funny are snowflakes!
Funny are snowflakes!

I dare to stand there,
-forget night and the day,
-and ignore life around,
-be care-less, motionless
-keep feeling in Heaven.
-Warriors are angels
-each of them a virgin.

Raise my face, look at them.
-Not even part of me in action
-except when breathing and eyelids.
-Those organs have their ways;
-cannot keep same silence.
-when flakes fall in eyes…
