Electric Lady

I do not know if I will ever get over you
You are like a drug
A disease I am immune to
The roses are slowly dying
And so am I
But I am like a dying rose
That has not lost its conscience
Be with me forevermore
Until the pain goes away
Then my heart shall beat its last tune
For you and only you
I can cry an endless river
As the mountains move heaven and earth
And the angels will appear
And at last they will rise
Love captures it beautifully
A glorious tragedy
It is fate, it is fate I say
For fate is everywhere
It is in the stars
It is in the mind
It is even in the heart
This is my gift
This is my calling
To wither away in tears
Behold what shall be left of me
A conscience that is clear.

So movingly sad but beautifully enchanting,
One would say from the romantic era,
So openly absent, today.. (Report) Reply

    Wonderful poem.
    A glorious tragedy
It is fate, it is fate I say
    For fate is everywhere
    It is in the stars
    It is in the mind
It is even in the heart These are beautiful lines that I found very magnetic.

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
