Amazing Wonders Poem by derrick foster

To watch bubbles race on water and wonder which won

before the POP

to see a butterfly in flight without fright

in keen delight

to listen to water fall and imagine where it begins and ends

after each drop

to witness a bird float in a pond and ponder how

in amazing hope

to be greeted by a turtle as it peeks out from under water

and pontificate what it's like to breathe underneath

to hear the distant sound of children and remember

when i could make the same without shame

to sit alone and experience the nature of things and chronicle them

while being surrounded by such wonder

these are what make life livable and enjoyable

I look forward to continued amazing wonder
