Among The Rocks Poem by Casey Mackay

Among The Rocks

I dive
Into a pool
Among the rocks.

That moment
That cool, euphoric moment
Of icy weightlessness
Before my senses adjust;
Silence.
I drift suspended...
The soft, calming pressure
All around me, inside me,
Soundless gently pressing my mind...
I lose the need to breathe
Simply floating there
My eyes half-closed,
Peaceful, swirling like a cloud,
Before I rise slowly
Back to reality.
